Mary Cradles the Newborn

A single continuous 10-second shot, vertical 9:16 portrait composition, static camera framed from above the straw looking slightly down at Mary as she tenderly cradles the newborn Jesus, gently rocking him while Joseph kneels at her shoulder with a protective hand near the child. Over the ten seconds the silver light of the brilliant star slowly strengthens through gaps in the wooden rafters, sliding across the straw and illuminating the baby's face. Behind them a donkey lowers its head to rest and lambs breathe softly, while two shepherds appear blurred and reverent in the distant doorway beneath the star. Cold blue night tones against warm lantern gold, drifting dust motes, photorealistic cinematic style, intimate and sacred atmosphere.
